KCET Test Series FAQs

How is the KCET paper structured?
KEA sets KCET as separate subject papers — Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for engineering, with Biology in place of Mathematics for the agriculture and allied streams — each attempted in its own timed slot rather than as one combined paper. Our mocks follow that per-subject shape. Confirm the current pattern and duration in the official KEA bulletin at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in before you plan around it.
Does KCET have negative marking?
KEA has not applied negative marking to KCET, which changes how you should attempt it: leaving a question blank gains you nothing, so an educated guess costs you nothing either. That is close to the opposite of JEE Main strategy, and it is the main reason to rehearse on KCET-pattern papers rather than only on JEE mocks. Always check the current year's bulletin, since marking schemes are the board's to change.
What do I get after each attempt?
A full report: your projected All-India Rank, percentile, subject-wise accuracy, time spent per question, and the chapters where you lost the most marks. The point is knowing what to fix, not just what you scored.
Can I attempt a paper more than once?
Yes. Re-attempts are useful for building speed on a paper you have already seen, though your first attempt is the one that counts toward rank comparison.
